Our Story
Meet Our Founder.
The story of Baredes Sport & Law begins with Fernando Baredes.
Before entering football, Fernando built his professional career as a lawyer and accountant, developing a strong foundation in law, business and negotiation. In 2001, after becoming involved in a legal matter connected to Boca Juniors, he entered the world of professional football. That moment marked the beginning of more than two decades dedicated to the sport.
Since then, Fernando has worked across many different areas of football, combining his legal background with representation, contract negotiations, international transfers and strategic advising. His legal expertise has remained at the center of his career, giving him an in-depth understanding of FIFA regulations, international football rules, contracts and the legal framework behind the game.
Over the years, Fernando has represented and advised prominent figures in football, including renowned coach Jorge Sampaoli. He represented Sampaoli through important stages of his career, including his time with the Chile national team, Sevilla FC and the Argentina national team.
His work has also extended to international player transactions and negotiations across South America, Europe and the United States. Among them was his involvement in the negotiations surrounding Ecuadorian international Enner Valencia's move to West Ham United.
This combination of legal knowledge, football experience and international relationships has been the foundation of Baredes Sport & Law.

Today, Baredes Sport & Law represents players and coaches at different stages of the game, from emerging talents to established professionals competing at the highest levels.
We intentionally maintain a focused roster, allowing us to dedicate the time, attention and resources required to each player we represent. We look for players we genuinely believe in and, more importantly, players we believe we can help develop and succeed at the highest levels of the game.
With Fernando's experience and the team built around him, we bring together legal expertise, football knowledge and relationships across the United States, South America and Europe to represent our players and help them navigate their careers.
